Shay Conder - State Farm Insurance Agent

We have found it impossible to work with Shay. He never returns phone calls. Staff is rude. After years of putting up with their inability to help we moved our cars to a different insurance, but left out e home insurance with State Farm. Huge mistake. Our home was damaged in a massive hail storm in August 2024, and while we watched every one of our neighbors get a new roof due to the damage, we were told that although our roof sustained damage, the offered restitution was $0. Gee thanks, glad I could pay you every month for years. We’re looking for new insurance now. Such a let down.

I've been with State Farm for so long, I don't remember when I started with them. Easily up to 4 decades! But lately . . . The office almost NEVER ANSWERS THE PHONE!!! So you leave a message, THEY NEVER CALL BACK!!! "As soon as possible" NEVER HAPPENS! There was a severe hail storm Aug. '24 damaging my roof. I was sweeping up shovels full of the granules for weeks after every rain storm! State Farm said that wasn’t hail damage! Roofers did! Houses all around me were getting their roofs replaced, including a house next door, a house across the street, a house 3 houses away from me. There’s one 6 houses up the street that had damage but the owner was afraid of getting a rate increase and didn’t get it repaired. I have been with State Farm for 25 years. The last 13 years, Shay Conder has been my agent. I never had a single claim on my auto, home, or business insurance in those 25 years. Until last year. In August 2024, there was a freak hailstorm located in Orem, UT. It was a 100 year storm and caused massive destruction. We filed a claim on our roof. All of our neighbors were receiving checks instantly and starting repairs right away. Even other State Farm customers. The State Farm adjuster came to look at our roof and told my wife that it was clear hail damage and that we would get a new roof based on our policy. I have had my Car, Home, and Life Insurance with Shay for a decade and I can’t say enough about them. I love State Farm in general but the real reason I stay is because of Shay and Patty. They know their stuff and are always willing to help and have a conversation and answer any questions. If you want to have your insurance done right the first time so you don’t have to worry, go see Shay or Patty.

Shay is great! I have been with his office for years now and have never had a bad experience. He truly cares about his customers and couldn't care less about making the sell as long as he is doing what's best for you. His team is the same way. I have sent my whole family to him. If you want a great agent and to feel like more than a number, Shay is your man.
