I paid a life insurance Policy on a friend for over fifty years with a face value of $500, My wife told me years ago to stop paying it b/c I had paid the face value about ten times over in premiums and that I was just giving away my money, but I refused to do so, now the insured person has died. We had to demolish our old house and move from one place to another while our new home is being built, so my wife forgot to pay the premium for 2024, they usually reminded us that the premium was due but I didn’t get one at the end of the last year, for the last few years she paid the premium for the whole year to avoid having to pay monthly or forgetting to pay but all the activity of moving she just forgot. I Recall a few years back that she contacted them about whether the policy was ever paid

I have had a policy with them for years. Now I haven't received my notice of premium due. I called they would send one out, still haven't received it a month later. I sent a note with my check for the payment so it wouldn't be cancelled and the check has yet to be cashed. When I call I am on hold for a half an hour at a time and no one ever answers the phone. I am on the verge of making a complaint to the attorney general. I don't know what happened to this company, but this is certainly no way to treat customers that have been with them for at least 3 decades! And no I did not give them five stars. At this point they don't even deserve one star! Isn't that interesting? They wouldn't let me post this with no stars!!!

This place is the absolute worst of the worst! I've gotten nothing but frustrated for 4 1/2 months. They lost my policy, said it was worth ridiculously low face value, passed me from one to another customer service person...even gave me another number to call. When I called, it was a computer saying I had won a cruise to Bahamas! I called to complain with insurance licensing board, and still don't have my money! Now they say I have to present documents proving my name change of nearly fifty years ago. Natural mother and only step dad adopted me. A birth certificate won't work! They should be put out of business! I've also recently had dealings with globe life. They were professional and fast. Save yourself the biggest headache you'll ever have- buy life insurance anywhere else! R

Father had insurance with them, then he passed and they knew this. I tried keeping up with payments but they stole my money AND closed my father's insurance. I'm disputing with my bank but I wasted $700 paying and they stole rhat and my father insurance policies. This is a scam company if you get insurance with them you or your children WILL REGRET IT LATER. YOU are better off throwing your money in the trash.

This is the worst life insurance company ever!! They should not be in business. I called their customer service and provided my mother and father's personal information because I did not have their policy numbers. They asked me for their name and address but could not locate neither one of their policies. They said that if it's a paid up policy then it could be filed "somewhere."because they did not have computers back in the 60's 70's and 80's. Well, I want to know what happened to the money that they paid on their policies for 20 years. I will file a LAWSUIT!!! DO NOT GET LIFE INSURANCE FROM UNITED INSURANCE COMPANY OF AMERICA!!! this company does not deserve a star!!
