When I said that I didn’t like the fact that I had to provide my SSN just to get a quote on a policy, the woman on the phone said “ok have a nice day” and hung up. If we were at the point of finalizing prices and writing a policy, I would understand but just for a simple quote..... Soft pull or not, it’s an insurance quote, not a loan application! To hang up on someone because they don’t want to risk a possible bad mark against their credit because they chose to shop prices on insurance Is very rude and unprofessional. I’d hate to be stuck dealing with the same kind of unprofessionalism in the event I had to make a claim!
