They would call and then they would hang the call quickly or they would leave messages saying that no one answered and they will try to close the case because no one answered the phone. The lady that my mom got was very rude and very desperate to close the case she wanted nothing to help my mom. I called to get another caseworker and they told me that they wouldn't do that because that was my mom's caseworker and it was going to stay like that. So I had to get a lawyer and that was the only way that they started paying attention to my mom because I threatened with court. They really do suck at doing their job.
The experience with Sedgwick has been a horrific experience. I was on short term disability, and many times, Sedgwick had issues sending faxes to my doctors office (which Sedgwick did not tell me). My doctors office would send fax and even get a delivery confirmation, but no way for me to know if Sedgwick received it. If Sedgwick did, they would not notify me or display it on the website. Not until I uploaded the document myself would the information online be updated, and I would be sent a notification that it had been received. I don't even know if I had a case manager, which is odd since I had one for my fmla in the past. The most recent extension request form I uploaded wasn't even looked at until I finally asked about it 8 business days later. Sedgwick has contributed considerably to
This is the absolute worst business ever. They are not here to help individuals or to make life easier for the injured. My husband has been dealing with these people since 2023 and they do nothing but prolong processes and make people BEG for meds, treatment, etc.....
Took roughly a month to respond to our insurance claims, and they did so in the most inconvienient way (a physical letter, despite the fact we gave out our phone number and email). Not acceptable in today's day and age. Really feels like another insurance company just doing whatever they feel like with no regard to the humans involved.
Sedgwick issued estimate of damages on 90 vette to be under1k?? What a joke, estimate I recieved from reputable shop is near 2500 plus possible addition. Where is honesty and fair, for the premiums I and other's pay???
