The company's business is solely based on premium increases mid term and other deceptive business practices. I had a home+auto policy. Two months before renewal, they increased the premium by 48% by adding pool coverage that I never requested. And they backdated it to the beginning of the policy, so even when I canceled all my business with them five days later, they still want me to pay for the canceled policy premium. OK, I hope this extra $800 is well worth it for them losing a customer who paid them almost $4K premium every year for home+auto and never had a single claim. Clueless people + deceptive business practices = success?

Everything was great till cancelation it all went chaos, I'm still being charged and haven't seen a refund as of yet was told today after speaking with Jennifer that it would be issued within 5 days of cancelation today's day 2 but I received a policy notice stating I'd be charged more scary stuff I was told to disregard this message which is hard to do with no refund and a charge after I attempted to reach out personally v.i.a email and to my agents at the local Pierson Wallace office! So far results have not been in my favor. do I see anything anywhere stating my policy is deactivated nope .. it just says active and gonna charge me more than I paid before...I hope I don't need a lawyer and within this next 3 days I'll see a refund, I'll change this review the second I see this stop!!!

Id rate no stars If I could. Agreed to a policy to be paid in full for the year paid it not one month into the effective period they send me a bill for another $147 and said that my multipolicy discount doubled on there end so I owe them more money than originally agreed and signed to and that I am welcome to seek insurance elsewhere if im unhappy. Tries doing glass claim. They don't process 8t correctly 10 call.back to get some one that finally gets it. Weird no one knows there job any more.

I have been a Preferred Mutual customer for over 30 years for my auto and home insurance. During that time I have had to make several claims. Their response has always been courteous and prompt. Last year the water main to my house broke and I was covered. They had an adjuster there that day who took pictures and assessed the damage. I got my repairs done and they sent me a check within a week. I have never had any problems with them and their rates have been reasonable. They are not big name like Allstate or State Farm, but they are definitely worth looking at when considering insurance,
