I had a State Farm agent for 30 years. He recently retired and I did a search for my next agent. Last week when I met Lanell I realized we shared similar values. She was very helpful for my needs. Her office is centrally located and her staff is friendly.

I moved and needed a new renters insurance policy. Yesterday I had a 21st century nightmare day of self-service websites (Lemonade.com) and speech recognition self-service phone menus (Homesite) all failing as if it were 1993. BEWARE! Happy to take your money but too busy to service your account. After many decades of continuous insurance my policy was cancelled without a phone call, text or email in advance. Cancelled for non payment after State Farm changed my policy number and did not reinstate my auto payment setting I had for years. Then charged me 15% more money for the same policy for a non continuous insured. I called and spoke to Lanell who just offered excuses that the office tries to call but are so busy things get away from them (they didn’t call to warn me that it was to be canceled), your settings are wrong, Corporate should have…. Etc. Sad to see what was once a very good local agency go so far down hill and ruin a customers reputation. Find another agency that cares and can handle their workload.
