Having Harvey Watt coverage was invaluable to our family. When my husband was unable to fly unexpectedly at middle age, Harvey Watt was able to provide income when we needed it the most. They were very helpful in the claims process and our claim was paid timely due to providing all the documentation needed when asked. The help of the aeromedical team was invaluable to my husband's career and our family's sole source of income. They were able to help him get his medical back when it could've taken much longer otherwise. We spoke to multiple people regarding our policy and on the claims side throughout the process .. I paid premiums for years and when I lost my medical, they denied my claim. When I tried to use their medical reinstatement services, the person helping me literally did not know what a first-class medical was. You’d be no worse off selecting a random person off the street for guidance on getting your medical back than using Harvey Watt.

So for those Pilots out there considering “Loss of Medical” coverage you may want to reconsider this worthless company. They are slow and marginal at best helping with your claim. They bury you in paperwork and then leave it up to you to get all parties (Doctors, Employer) to complete the paperwork and then claim they never received it. Total shake down, take the premiums and never pay out on a claim. I would not waste your time with this outfit, you will only be frustrated and left hanging.

HW is completely worthless. They do not respond to calls. I was left alone to navigate my status as well as my follow-up submissions. And when I received a denial, they were nowhere to be found. I'm still waiting for a call-back. I've contacted an aviation attorney to take over my case.
