We’re long-time State Farm clients whose agent just retired. We were transferred to Whitney Owen’s agency and were stewarded by her customer relations rep Paul Timmer. Paul reached out a few days after we were notified of the agent change and set up a meeting with us. He reviewed our insurance coverages with us and answered questions. We learned a few things we weren’t aware of and he provided context around each item. Paul represented Whitney’s agency very well and left us feeling confident that we have a strong team behind us. I had a very disappointing experience with this insurance agency. In November I was charged 3 times the same month I had already paid, I noticed an additional $47 charge in the app. I paid it, then realized it was a duplicate payment and contacted the agency for a refund. I spoke with Morgan and later with the owner, Whitney Owens. They refused to issue a refund, claiming the money was owed to a prior insurance agency. I have never received any notice, bill, or documentation stating that I owed a previous agency anything. I asked multiple times for written proof from both agencies and have yet to receive any explanation. This situation has gone on for 2–3 months.
