Called on Tues for a quote and provided all my info. I was told they'd get back to me in a day or two. I called Thurs. and told them I was on a fairly tight time line and needed the quote by the end of the day Fri. to make a decision by Monday morning. I was told they would get me a quote first thing Fri morning, four days later and still haven't heard back so went with a different company.

Greg and his family at Vander Vorst insurance have been my insurance brokers for 23 years and through any issues having a horrible driving record, wrecked a few cars to having a family and a new house. Vandervorst Insurance group has always gone 100% for me and my family. If you want someone who is going to treat you right and knows what there doing then these guys are for you. If you like a computer and outsourced customer service department in India handling your insurance then go with the other guys, they have always treated me like family sense i was 17 years old, great people that understand life happens and when no one else would give me insurace they did and at a better rate than anyone in town. You would be foolish to not at least give them a chance.

My family's been working with Greg since before I could drive so of course he was who insured me at 16 when I could first drive. Has always worked to get me a good rate but the attention to you as more than just another customer is what has stood out over the years. I made the mistake of choosing an online offer that seemed too good to be true and when I needed them to be there they weren't like Greg was. Over the years I've found affordable with someone you can count on is more important than cheapest. Throughout the years he's provided me with car insurance, motorcycle insurance, renters insurance, homeowners policy, business insurance and I don't even know how many countless commercial real estate and investment properties he helped me get insured throughout the years. Not reliable. I did not have proper coverage for over three years - I live in a duplex and own some rental properties and had massive coverage gaps while using them. Found a new agent, got more coverage for about $1,500 less a year. They misquoted me my annual premium by about $83 one time; I had written a large check (over $6k) for the annual renewal a week prior to Enlightenment (their trust account); they called around 1 pm to say my coverage would lapse at midnight if I did not drive an $83 check over to them before end of day. That was the final straw. Once I shopped around I learned from other agents I didn’t even have homeowners insurance! Yikes! Greg, Cheryl and Elizabeth all did not care about me or my insurance needs.

Huge gaps in the coverage. Bad communication. There’s a lot of places that you could go that are better than this, and that’s saying something since it’s insurance.
