US Assure

Absolutely awful, 0 star isn't an option, we used them only for 6 months for home coverage, after 6 months we declined to extend. Months later we received a collections notice, although we chose not to continue with this company. I would advise to stay away from this company.

I was told we had to add on a builders risk policy with US assure when we closed on our house. They said we had to pay a year up front but once the job was done we needed to cancel right away to get the unused portion refunded. We cancelled the YEAR policy within a month like we were TOLD to do. Now the company is saying we're intelligible for a refund. So glad I paid for an entire year to get new carpet that took two days to install. What a joke.

If you ever consider using US Assure, you will be wasting your time and stay far away from this company. I purchased a builders risk policy from my goosehead insurance agent who went through US Assure. I paid for 12 months upfront and only used 5 months and canceled the policy April 8th and put started my homeowners insurance policy. Now it is mid June with no refund and after about 5 attempts of people saying it has been canceled, there is always some type of excuse on why it didn't cancel. Now I will have to move foward with an attorney. Stay away from this company!!

I renovate properties in my area regularly, and so I have to purchase and manage multiple policies simulaneously. I have two properties I got rid of back in October and Nov. of last year, and now that it's been five and six months since the dispositions I STILL haven't received the refund checks. This company is dismissive, isn't helpful, has grossly arbitrary timelines for sending refund checks out "according to policy" and it's absolutely ridiculous. For example, I call 6 weeks ago to find out where the checks were. They cancelled the currently issued ones and then resent them! Great awesome, but another two weeks pass and I begin to wonder, so I call again. I was informed they're set to be sent out two fridays from now but that they'll try to move it up. I am a 70 year old man who made a mistake and paid my $2,896.00 twice one day after another. After discovering my stupid mistake three weeks later I contacted US Assure. I discovered that they have a policy that the client must contact them in writing before they will look into any overpayment. Now I am getting a run around instead of a refund. I cannot imagine how claims are processed. Insurance fraud runs on both sides of the fence. Charles Harris
