it's been almost 2 weeks and you STILL refuse to communicate with our water damage company to get the repairs started! In the meantime, you've forced us to live without plumbing for an entire week, with asbestos exposure and with sewage water stinking up the rooms. ME AND MY KIDS HAVE LIVED exposed to sewage water damage AND asbestos exposure and you still DO NOTHING. After a week of back and forth, now you put us up in a hotel but time is ticking away and YOU STILL refuse to even contact us or respond to our messages! and we only have 4 days left before you remove that and we have to return to breathing in our own waste. You people are EVIL. You don't even consider us HUMAN!

I had an absolutely abysmal experience dealing with this agency. I didn’t seek their business, I had the misfortune of having to deal with these folks because an insured commercial driver of theirs hit and ran my parked car. This led to well over a year of headaches. I now have a car that’s no longer street legal to drive due to a busted headlight, as a result of this incident. They confirmed it was their driver and paid me an amount for the damages, but refused to pay the full amount a reputable body shop required to fix my car. They found some of the internal damage to be unrelated to what their insured driver caused, but my car was street legal with both headlights intact before the driver hit and ran it while parked - now everyone I’ve spoken to tells me they can’t simply replace the h

I would give them negative stars if I could. My son was in an accident 08/13. I had to go do work for taking video of the scene as well as contacting the retailer for a copy of their video cameras outside. I arranged all of this. I have called and emailed over 6 times in the past month and I can not get a simple return call or email from my claims rep. I even called and asked to speak with a manager on 3 separate occasions and they have not even called me back. I have given each of them at least 24 hours before I called again. Stay away from The Hartford. They have no idea what customer service is.

If I could give this company negative stars I would. This company is a scam and does not take accountability when they neglect your policy requirements. What type of company takes 9 months to respond to a email with documentation they asked for and then threatens to cancel your policy once they respond?? Please save yourself from spending any money with this company as they will not cover any losses and weasel their way out of everything. Reported to the BBB and awaiting a response. Companies like this should not be able to operate….

I'm going to give them a two only because I once considered them a 4. I went to Hartford through AARP 6 or 7 years ago. The savings was considerable. This year Hartford increased my insurance 36%. When I asked why they cited the windshield replacement and my driving score on the app they required me to download onto my phone. Their service had been fair to good to that point, but I had only needed them for the one claim. I found it ironic that I found the EXACT same coverage with GEICO for a 42% savings over the increased terms of Hartford. What I've discovered is that it is better to pay for any possible claim unless it is a total loss of the vehicle. Insurance has no longer become a tool to help cover the damage to your vehicle.
