Texas Farm Bureau Insurance Company

Texas Farm Bureau has the lowest prices for the best insurance I've had for years. Solid company that has been around for decades. I am glad I switched from State Farm. However, know that they have no grace period on your payments and after 2 days I was charged a late fee and got a phone call as if I were a deadbeat. I have a good credit score and I pay my bills on time. It doesn't seem to matter so be forewarned.

I would NOT recommend Texas Farm Bureau - Wood County. We have been satisfied customers for many years under our (now retired) agent. However, under the new management, we recently experienced two instances of inattention/neglect to our policies. Deductibles not correctly carried over on a new vehicle and applications submitted incomplete on our business.

I highly recommend you do NOT get your ranch insurance through Wood County Farm Bureau. They raised my premium $2800. and I had not ever filed a claim. They also will not return calls or help in any way. I just this year filed my first claim on my roof and they would not meet the deductible. I had 3 roofing contractors here and they adjustor would not meet with any of them as they all had a much higher estimate. I requested another adjustor and so far do not have even a returned call yet again. This has been ongoing for 2 months. I plan on pursuing it further. My insurance this year is so high I cannot afford it, plus they will not help you when you file a claim.

Premiums are due semi-annual, not annual, making the prices seem much cheaper. I was most upset with agent at his office when a payment came due as he did not initially tell me it being a semi-annual policy. He got belligerent with me to the point of almost being hostile. Partially due to his attitude, I suspended service and will never, ever again use this company.

Not only the best insurance for home, auto, and life they also have the best agent. If you don’t have Michael Skillern as your insurance agent, then you need to get him! He is the best insurance agent. He is so helpful and knowledgeable.
