Should have found another insurance company after they ghosted me for two months when I had a gaping hole in my kitchen ceiling from a water leak. It was the same story about a year later when I filed a claim for my roof. Weeks of emails, texts, and calls with them saying they'll get back to me and never following up. To anyone having issues reaching an agent, I suggest you go through their phone menu. You might not get answers, but you can probably get someone to pick up.

My experience with Southern Trust Insurance was extremely unprofessional, with weeks of no action on my claim, broken promises of call-backs, and zero response from management when I tried to escalate the issue. Do your research carefully — there are far better companies out there that actually communicate and handle claims responsibly.

Our home was very badly damaged by Hurricane Helene. We were overwhelmed by the shock and pain of becoming homeless, which was very hard to comprehend. We have been very well taken care of from start to finish by Southern Trust Insurance and its employees, especially Steve Dunn. We have been their customers at least thirty years and intend to remain their customers for many years to come. Thank you so much for everything you have helped us with on our claim. We are back in our home that we have lived in for 43 years. We are so blessed to be back and have Sothern Trust for our home insurance. Thank you all again!!!!

Extremely Unprofessional Experience — Poor Communication and No Follow-Through I had a claim with Southern Trust Insurance and was assigned an adjuster (Bill Williams). For about a month, he took no action on my claim until I called for an update. He then told me he would have an estimate ready in an hour and never called back, didn’t respond to messages, and stopped answering his phone. When I finally reached him again, he ended the call abruptly by claiming the line was breaking up — then never contacted me again. Attempts to reach a manager (Erika Roman) were unsuccessful; she did not respond to my calls or follow up, even though Bill somehow knew I had asked to speak with a supervisor. This experience was unprofessional and unacceptable. Based strictly on my experience, I am switching

I was told an estimate would be ready quickly — that never happened. Repeated attempts to reach anyone were ignored. Don’t use this insurance ! Giving them the review and rating they deserve.
