I can relate to this. I also experienced significant frustration with Slide, particularly around clarity of coverage and claim handling. What stood out to me most was paying extra for specific coverage, only to later be told it effectively wouldn’t apply due to exclusions. That was surprising and disappointing. I agree that transparency and consistency are critical, especially given the premiums being charged. I hope the company improves communication and follows through on the coverage policyholders believe they’re paying for. Please check you exclusions. Have a profesional look through your coverage.

I had to submit a claim recently for a leak due to a failed shower pan and my Slide-assigned adjuster Jaime Franco was responsive, fair, and patient with explaining the process and coverage. Slide issued payments quickly once approved, and was never a bottleneck in the process. I was pleasantly surprised by the customer experience. Deducting one star overall, as Slide's premiums can be expensive and their policy limitations restrictive. But the claim experience for me in this case was easy.

I am currently a Farmers homeowners policy holder that was non-renewed. Based on previous reviews of Slide, and the experiences of others described in online forums, I was worried that Slide would automatically bill my mortgage company before allowing me to review, modify, accept, or reject the renewal terms. I reached out to my mortgage company and requested that they hold any payment Slide requests while I obtain a policy of my choosing. Sure enough, Slide billed my mortgage company on 01/13/2026 and I have yet to receive any renewal packet from them. Their renewal was 3x my current premium. Luckily, I was able to have a new policy in place, provided the appropriate documents to my mortgage company, and they will not be paying Slide anything. If I can give no star I give them. Citizens kick out a lot of people in Florida and Slide pick up them, me included. Everything goes smoothly until today. I received my monthly payment for my mortgage. Went up by a 100 dollars. I call my mortgage and explain. I told them the escrow and tax went up . Mortgage says that's your home insurance. Ok cool. They have the number of Slide Insurance. I call them and they can't see the raise... They say it don't went up. I explained and finally they see it . Explain to me that it's Florida. I live in a central Florida place all the huracaine that pass I don't even have lost electricity, nothing happens so I don't understand why the raise. So slice yes slide the other way. I’m writing this review to document my experience with a roof claim handled by Slide Insurance. The claim involved a tile roof in Apollo Beach, Florida, where damage was discovered on October 27, 2025. This date was clearly communicated as the date of discovery, not necessarily the date the wind damage occurred. Slide ultimately denied coverage for a roof replacement, stating that: • The roof damage was due to age, stress, and thermal expansion • Cracked tiles were considered long-term wear • Shifted and lifted tiles were not attributed to wind • Ridge tile movement was deemed unrelated to a storm • Wind conditions were evaluated only for October 27, 2025 What was particularly frustrating is that: • Two inspections were performed • The first inspector inspected the interior, took interi
