Selective Insurance Corporate Headquarters

I have rarely made claims but this was the worst. Claim was delayed due to wrong phone #. If i hadnt tracked down the adjuster nothing would have happened to process the claim. Then she delayed processing saying couldnt find my policy which I've had and religiously paid for over 20 years. The claim is still not processed going on a month now since they applied the wrong deductible. It is only $600, not $1000. How could you have my name and address and not be able to find the policy ??? Which finding the policy is evidently meaningless since you can't read it and see the correct deductible. This process was stressful. Selective should be ashamed. You need to hire better people.

I have been a Selective homeowners policyholder for several years. I called yesterday to inform Selective that we are moving and need to transfer the policy to the new address. I was told that the new home does not meet the minimum home value of $750K. Neither does my current home, yet Selective insured it. I was able to find another insurer that was happy to get a new customer (at a lower rate). I don't understand why Selective would only want to insure homes of a certain value.

It was so nice to speak with a representative that was based in my home state. She was very knowledgeable about my needs and was a great help.

I called to ask questions about why I was getting charged a 2.00 a month due fee my homeowner’s insurance. I didn’t understand that if you don’t paid one time a year and break it down into monthly payments you get charged 2.00 month. The women on the phone stated well you been paying it this way for over a year. Well I lost my husband less then a year ago I’m still learning. Also when I asked about how to do this mandatory inspection using the app I was treated very rude. Looks like a change will be taking place soon.

Our company Van hit a deer from the time we reported the claim until it was paid was a very short period of time. The claims process was easy and simple, Period I would highly recommend Selective insurance
