I had a bundle for my auto and homeowners insurance with Progressive. In 2026 they raised my homeowners premium by $500 (from $2,000 to $2,500) despite me never having filed a claim. So I shopped around. State Farm offered me slightly better auto rates and much better homeowners rates ($1,100 vs. $2,500 with Progressive) for the exact same coverage. State Farm also seems to rank higher than Progressive in customer satisfaction based on the surveys available online. Switching was a no-brainer. The local State Farm agent in El Paso, Donna, was a pleasure to work with. Very responsive and professional.
