⭐️ Terrible Experience: Avoid progressive car insurance I am writing this review to warn others about the truly awful service i resive fro PROGRESSIVE CAR INSURANCE This has been, without a doubt, the **worst car insurance experience** I have ever had. Billing and Customer Service Failures Even outside of a claim, their administrative failures were they send me a bill even a month after I canceled my policy. They claim for services they provide. How !!! I canceled in time. * **Rude/Unhelpful Staff:** Every time I called the customer service line, the representatives were dismissive, uninformed, difficult to understand. Give it a 0 if I could was recently rear ended and the at fault insurance took the fault. Problem is I have had no help from progressive as I'm struggling to contact and get ahold of the at fault insurance to fix my car. Progressive does nothing to help you during this time all they did was contact the girls insurance and left me on my own. My accident was a month ago and Im still struggling to get help from my own insurance to help me with the process to get my car fixed all they do is just say we contact at fault here's your claim contact them even after explaining that I can't get ahold of them. After I get this finished and resolved whenever that will be not only will I be leaving progressive but three of my family members as well. Worst insurance company ever. Everyone I have talked

Out of laziness, I have maintained my Progressive policy for almost 15 years. Earlier in the policy, if I needed to lower my rates I would call and they would attempt to remedy the cost in order to be competitive. No longer. They now attempt to extort high fees, and change criteria indiscriminately based upon who you talk to. (ie: my rate was raised when I told them my son was living in the same house even if he had his own car, then, my policy went down 2 years later because he had progressive all along, too.) I am a faithful consumer who would stay with a company if I didn't feel like they were making things up. I'm out as of January 3rd, 2026.

2.2 star, can u even get any lower than that? LOL. Even Sarasota police department has higher reviews. Speechless of how they handled my case, my car got hit when it parked at a parking lot , how you guys didn't total the car when it costs $11000 to fix but the value of the car only $12000???? Now cost me $4000 since your company denied the last part of the bill, and it was because the shop couldn't provide the required documents. The lack of communication of your guys and the shop were insanely creepy, suspicious that both of your company and the shop worked together to get customer's money in this case. Ironically, your supervisor did get involved. It's been two months, heard nothing from you guys.

Progressive is a scam. Sold me a 12 month policy. I paid $490 up front for the entire year. 2 months later they mailed me some form I needed to sign and send back - which I was not notified about and to my knowledge did not receive. When I didnt send the form back they more than doubled my premium, charging me an additional $522. When I called them they told me there was nothing they could do because I never returned this form. I've been with Geico, Allstate, and USAA over the last 25 years. I have never had this happen at any of them. Stay FAR FAR FAR away from Progressive insurance.
