My son got into a car wreck that was not his fault. The agent did not process his claim for an entire week because she was going on vacation and was being lazy. Now she is on vacation and no one will send the documents. My son has been calling for days and keeps getting the runaround. In the mean time, we have been trying to function with one car for almost 2 weeks. He has faithfully made his payments on time for years and this is the thanks we get.
We had a serious accident on a freeway. The police gave us zero fault. The insurance given to us by the other party turned out to be bad. That 1st insurance company referred us to another insurance company. That turned out to be bad also. Unfortunately, we were forced to file a uninsured/underinsured motorist claim with Progressive (our insurance company). Thank goodness we'd bought that coverage. Progressive jumped on it and moved quickly. I give huge credit to Jay. They sent us a claim link which we completed. They came and towed our car to their shop and inspected it. It ended up being totaled. They made us a good, solid, fair offer that we were pleased and grateful for (no big fight for fairness was required). I am writing to formally express my extreme disappointment with how Progressive handled my recent claim. My son was involved in a multi-car accident back on December 4th, 2025 caused by a commercial truck, and while he was fortunate to be in the front vehicle, he still felt the impact of the collision. I am particularly concerned with the conduct of the representative assigned to this case, Danielle Johnson. During our interaction regarding a claim for a damaged backup camera valued at less than $200, she accused me of lying and stated that many customers provide false information because they cannot afford their own repairs. I am extremely disappointed with my recent experience with Progressive. From my perspective, the communication between Progressive and my mortgage company, AmeriHome, was a complete mess. I’ve been paying into my escrow specifically so my homeowners insurance would be handled correctly — yet somehow my policy was allowed to lapse without any clear, timely notice to me. Instead of working with me or acknowledging the breakdown in communication, Progressive reinstated my policy and slapped me with a $600 reinstatement charge, which feels outrageous given that the payment should have been processed through my escrow in the first place. Hate Progressive with a passion. Horrible to have to deal with them to do anything. Only 1 employee in this entire experience (car wreck) was remotely decent to deal with and that's the girl who works the window in the Clear Lake office. I'll never recommend Progressive to anyone! Thankful we use USAA.
