Progressive is the worst insurance company you could possibly go for. They don’t even know how to accept or process a simple payment! I pay all my bills on time so at no point in time should anyone ever be calling me saying my anything is about to get turned off because you didn’t do your job. I called several times to verify that my payment was successful and I was reassured several times that there was no issue with my payment, now all of a sudden … Two weeks later I’m getting phone calls and them threatening to stop my services. This is the most stupid thing I’ve ever been through and I will be moving to a different company ASAP.
Very difficult to deal with. Poor communication with underwriting. They do not speak to customers directly, only email. I was asked for documentation prior to completing an auto quote. I sent the documents requested twice. They in turn resent the same email asking for the same documents. I called the sales team and was informed that they have no way to communicate with the underwriting dept.They suggested I send the underwriting department an email asking for a phone call. did so. Instead of a call to clarify what they needed, I got an email stating that phone calls are not permitted. They again attached a request for the same documents I sent in twice. I would have been happy to send something else, if I would have been told what they wanted. This process took a week. I decided to go with
Absolutely horrible customer service. They significantly raised my rate before renewal so I didn’t renew with them. I found better insurance and cheaper. They are still sending me bills and customer service can’t seem to figure out I don’t want their policy. And not going to pay them. Avoid progressive at all cost.
I've had them for three terms now. Went from 107 a month to 504 Jesus. With no accidents might I add no tickets. So i got a new policy welp. Whomever did my policy didn't insure my car but someone else's car. While I'm paying for insurance I didn't have. Called got hung up on. Luckily the apps better than the people who actually work for progressive. So I changed it myself. Asked for a manager still no response. Got automatic payments....yet I get a cancellation notice. Called in about that on why I'm late it it's automatically taken out. They said it was declined how what. So I call my credit union. They say no payment was tried from progressive. So I asked to change to another. Which is the one I used for an entire year for auto payments. She Said can't use that card. I'm over this mess.
Progressive insurance is a joke. They want to you to provide them with 5 years of insurance to make sure you are a loyal customer but if you haven’t been with the company for 5 years they will raise your rates. I have never once in my life heard of that. We moved two blocks down the road they raised our rates we have been with our insurance company since May 2001 they raised our rates again this is all in less than a month of being with them. Why would I be a loyal customer to a company to that is nothing but money hungry. I haven’t had an accident in the 28 years but you want to charge me so much for my insurance so you are would be getting almost $3,000 a year and never paying out a claim for me but want to charge me this outrageous rate. In 2001 I was paying $91.00 a month for the
