Pacific Source Health Plans

Absolute worst. My company switched to these guys. Now prescriptions my wife has had for years is being denied by them. Saying that she has no history. She’s been diabetic for over 10yrs. Terrible

Unethically restrictive coverage, possibly even dangerously restrictive coverage plans. Turns out you can't even ask your primary care physician about metabolism or mention the word "weight" these days, as PacificSource is so frightened of "weight management" that they flatly deny coverage for any service code with any relation. Nevermind that weight, cardiovascular health, nervous system health, diet and nutrition, exercise, managing weight at different life stages and understanding changes to metabolism are all central to ongoing health and wellness, and perfectly reasonable points of discussion to explore and educate oneself about during an annual medical examination with one's primary care physician (not even a specialist!). Fail! I was charged for a service I did not receive by One Peak Medical (reviewed them separately for another one star). I tried to resolve it with the clinic. They dragged it out and promised to fix it for months, never did, and finally they ghosted me. I then tried to resolve it with my insurance company, Pacific Source. I completed their appeal process which is handled by snail mail rather than electronic mail. In the appeal I clearly stated that I had not received (the procedure) but was billed for it. The appeal was denied because, “they pay what the office bills them for.” Ridiculous. So I engaged several agencies to work as my advocate, which I thought was within PS’s purview. I've been paying $586/month out of pocket for my individual Pacific Source medical insurance. I've called the phone number listed here^ assuming that general customer service questions could be answered. I'm always very polite with all my calls. But today, when only calling to affirm the cancelation of my policy, I was shoved around to 3 other departments (all of whom were short with me) until the last gentleman answered and said, "yeaaa, you should try Google-ing the phone number for Pacific Source?" and then abruptly hangs up on me without a good bye or anything.
