The annual fee to insure my 2000sq ft house that is about 40 miles from the ocean. Protected by a fire hydrant 300' away and the fire station a mile and a quarter away. Was going to be over $3200. That's for a house that only cost $72k to build. We've had zero claims in the last 15 or so years. With an over 800 credit score. Somebody PLEASE explain this to me.
