The new free surgery benefit is a joke. There are no orthopedic surgeons contracted in the Raleigh Durham area. There closest for my surgery is 120 miles round trip. Yes Lantern supposedly reimburses travel but this is not a manageable trip for surgery.

Next year, all copays will be double for AETNA cause they got rid of the CPP plan for providers. SHP needs to go back to BCBS and propose affordable schedule fees with BCBS so that it can be affordable for everyone.

Aetna is a horrible company. They DO NOT care about anything but money. They will deny you care, find loop holes to not pay for anything. Aetna and Duke Health are having a hard time coming to an agreement, and soon most likely Duke Health will be out of network.

NCSHP SUCKS! The clinical board wants to play God when it comes to approving preauthoratizatons. Your life is in their hands. Paying money to have insurance and see doctors but not getting any resolutions because the insurance God's will not allow it.

The representatives were helpful in finding in-network providers in my new area, and they even assisted with transferring my medical records. The fact that I didn’t have to worry about finding new doctors was a huge weight off my shoulders during an already stressful move.
