On May 18th at 8:48 am my business partner and I had a conversation with them and paid in full with a credit card for a homeowners policy on an investment property. When we ended the conversation, we understood from them that we were insured. Furthermore, the closing attorney’s office called the agent to verify before we could close. On September 27th, we noticed that we incurred some roof damage due to storms in the area. When we called to inquire about making a claim, we were told that the credit card had been declined; however nobody from the agents office had ever mentioned this or called to notify us.
