Something has dramatically changed with NREIG the last year. We used to have 5 policies with them for creative deals. Referred every investor we knew to them. We’ve been switched around to different client advisors and the lady we have now doesn’t comprehend subto. The lender has rejected her insurance policy 3 times and we know how bad that can be for creative deals. We’ve switched two policies to AllState so far. I’m now switching this 3rd on today. I can’t risk staying with NREIG anymore. They will increase your likelihood of having the due on sale clause called. They mention in replies to reviews that they are going through “system upgrades”- just stop. Whatever system you were using a year ago was perfectly fine. Nothing but problems now. Your CSAs are not proactive with providing

Billing is an absolute mess, communication between departments is chaos, advisors have the bare minimum education to provide the right care and little guidance from the company. The owner has no clue most of the time of what's going on because he's usually not in house and no way to contact him to discuss problems as the emails are monitored and interceptted it seems. What once seemed to be a company that cares about their clients is now a company that cuts corners. A poor advisor is a product of poor management. It starts at the top. Oh and make sure you get a very clear understanding of the fine print with your liability coverage, tenant protection coverage and understanding water damage and flood ARE NOT THE SAME. Ask questions.

These guys were great for close to 10 years but in the last year and a half they have really fallen off. I recently tried to modify coverage on a couple of properties with flood coverage and was told I needed to pay for an elevation certificate to complete the request. $1,500 later I was unable to even get a response after multiple attempts to make this change. I finally gave up and moved my entire portfolio to another company.

Can’t invoice properly and doesn’t have a functioning website. Currently in process of switching 15+ properties to another broker. I used this broker for the last 4-5 year, but in the last year, total decline in service. Not worth the headache.

Great company! I’ve insured my two rentals and my potential flip, and Lisa has been extremely responsive and helpful. We lost our rep unexpectedly but she came to the rescue and was able to make sure we were able to progress our deal without any delays. Highly recommend - both Lisa and Alex are great!
