If "0" stars was available or negative, I would have selected. Purchased dental policy 10/24 and had routine care once and was only partially paid. On 11/4/25 dentist said I needed a crown. I paid what was supposed to be my portion after the crown was completed. This week received another bill from dentist for over $400. because MetLife told them they were not in network for my plan. I called MetLife and representative told me that was true even though I chose this dentist from MetLife website which provided dentists in their network. She said that may be true as they were when I purchased in October 24 but were dropped in October of 25. Wow! I feel really bad for all the out of network providers out there who have to get in touch with MetDental Provider services. #1. Wait times to speak to a rep are super high. #2. Today I tried to call as an out of network provider and got hung up on because their call volume was "too high". Lately I've had to be put on the "call back list" and wait for them to reach out, and it take SEVERAL HOURS to hear back). SOOOOOO I tried to then reach out and use the "in network" option and instantly got someone one the phone. :/ ...? #3. Ever since they "revamped" their website they have been trying to deter my phone calls because we are out of network. I was just told on the phone, on a recorded line that MetLife group accident doesn’t call you if your uploaded documents can’t be opened, nor do they email to tell you. They allow you to wait on something that isn’t coming. Top notch customer service guys, real nice

Worst online customer service. Website never loads to check claims. Horrible dental coverage. Don’t get Met, it doesn’t pay in my experience.
