I used agent WS Insurance Group and this was the biggest mistake ever. Customer service is very disrespectful - I called and Warren Sam told me they're busy on the line call back later and just hung up. I never encountered such a disrespectful customer service rep. Trying to get a Mercury rep on the line directly but no one picking up the phone. I definitely would not recommend Mercury Insurance - stay away

After over three years as loyal Mercury Insurance customers, we faced an unexpected lapse in coverage due to an expired credit card, despite automated payments. When we discovered the issue amidst dealing with a car accident claim (in which we were not at fault), we were assured by representatives that our coverage was still active. Even after explaining our situation and expressing our willingness to update our payment information or restart our policy, we were met with rigid procedures and a refusal to assist. This experience has been eye-opening and deeply disappointing. Our advice to anyone considering Mercury Insurance is to LOOK ELSEWHERE! Wouldn’t recommend dealing with or even insuring with based off all the poor reviews I’m reading and the extremely poor experience I had. I ended up getting rear ended by one of their motorist’s, I put a claim in with my insurance company and then I couldnt get a hold of Mercury for at least 3 weeks after the incident I went to file a claim with Mercury to only find out the kid didn’t even put in a claim (considering his car was way more messed up than mine due to his own fault) but that’s besides the point. I made a claim with their claims department the chick I was originally dealing with couldn’t spell Cloud correctly there for i wasn’t receiving any paperwork or documentation from Mercury insurance regarding my claim and still have no paperwork from them except the estimate paperwork s

Consumer beware!!!! It is worth paying a couple hundred more dollars every 6 months for an insurance company who actually cares about its customers. I have paid Mercury insurance over $2,000 every 6 months and practically had to BEG them to go after a company (who was negligent in their services) to collect my deductible. The jury is still out on if I will recoup my deductible. Furthermore, I have experienced significant increases at every renewal. It’s clear this company does not care about representing paying customers and is just there to collect money and check a box. Consumer beware!!!!

Do NOT use Mercury Ins. We emailed for a simple quote for my son (who was moving to FL from MO). The quote was more then he wanted to pay, so we immediately emailed them again saying he was going to shop around. They somehow attached him to my policy anyways and began automatically withdrawing the funds from my bank acct WITHOUT MY AUTHORITZATION. Ive made multiple phone calls to them and still no full refund and no good explanation as to why this happened. All I get is a continuous runaround and excuse after excuse. Very dissatisfied.
