MAPFRE Insurance

Definitely look at your policy if you are buying insurance. We've always used AAA or companies based in the US whenever we go to Mexico, but this time I forgot and we stopped in Ajo and bought insurance at Mexico Insurance Center. The carrier is MAPFRE. I hit a pole in a parking lot in Rocky Point and found out that my mini-van is considered an "other vehicle," not an automobile, so I will have a $1000 deductible instead of $500. I wouldn't recommend getting a policy through them if you can avoid it. If you do, make sure to look at the policy closely if you own anything other than a car. I won't forget to buy insurance ahead of time for our next visit to RP.

Horrible insurance company. Do not retain their services. My dads car was involved in a hit and run. Despite my dad providing clear evidence of the car involved in the hit and run, the insurance agent stated he didn’t have the right coverage. His policy clearly states he has uninsured motorist coverage, and yet they stated they are not responsible for this. They determine the driver did not have insurance, so I am not sure why they are denying the coverage if clearly this would fall under uninsured motorist. Save yourself the headache. Go with a more reputable insurance provider.

MAPFRE USA is headquartered in Webster, Massachusetts. it's parent company MAPFRE (pronounced mah-fray) insurance from Spain is the leader in life auto and home insurance in Spain and many parts of Europe and the world. MAPFRE offers insurance to mostly preferred customers who bundle homes autos commercial and other specialty insurance, it also offers low cost options in certain markets. This is not a 15 minutes save you money and leave you alone at the claim kind of company, it's more than that.I work here.

I bought my new insurance from Geico by the time my insurance from this company expired, but i don’t know why they automatically renew and tryna make me pay when i doesn’t want to. Terrible experience with this company

I wouldn't even give it one star. It was worse service than a Government facility. Terrible!!! Signs for parking are not visible. Very small parking for customers. You need a badge to even go to the bathroom. They made me wait for an hour. Not to mention all the time they made me waste getting them this or that and at the end none of that mattered.
