Manatee Insurance Exchange

This insurance company is incredibly impossible to deal with. Somehow they managed to bill my mortgage holder for a partial policy payment for a policy I never even agreed to, as a transfer from Citizen. Their quote was absurd and I went with another company. I’ve spent well over 10 hours on the phone with them for over 4 months now still trying to get my money back. They really should get sued for stealing at this point.

Very impressed with CSR, Sergio. Working on a tight deadline to assist homeowner with reinstating policy. Sergio was knowledgeable, quick, cut through the red tape and witty to boot! Thanks for making what I anticipated to be a stressful experience, very smooth indeed!

Actually the worst insurance company. Was forced into this one because I had citizens and after my mortgage made a payment, manatee sent me a refund for too much (THEIR ERROR) bc my insurance lowered price, then when I paid it back (the amount MANATEE told me to pay), they still threatened to cancel my policy because of ANOTHER ERROR they made so I had to spend more hours of another work day to solve the problem because they weren't even clear with what was going on. Moral of the story: THEY HAVE NO IDEA WHAT THEY'RE DOING. Shady as hell.

Manatee Insurance Exchange billed my mortgage company for my house insurance and the payment was sent a month before the payment was due. I received a cancellation notice and called the mortgage company to verify that the payment was sent. The payment was actually sent 45 days before it was due. I called Manatee and after 45 minutes on the phone I was told that the payment was received and never posted to my account.

My mortgage company ended up buying insurance on my behalf without my consent because repeated attempts by them to confirm my coverage with Manatee were unsuccessful. Manatee was paid in full for my policy before my mortgage was sold to a new lender. New lender can't verify coverage because Manatee WILL NOT PICK UP THE PHONE. They've tried to call them at least 4 times. So now I've paid $3000 for the initial policy and another $4000 for the policy bought without my consent. And there's nothing I can do about it unless I want to file a lawsuit because Manatee won't answer the phone when I call either.
