Lighthouse Insurance Selden

My son started a policy with them end of Oct then canceled it a week later he paid over $1000 as of today he still never recieved a refund for the policy every time I call I get the same excuse they will call company and look into it and they never call me back and give me an answer

Found me cheaper insurance and worked with my budget. Staff is friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable!

Terrible experience dealing with Russ and this branch. After switching over from the Patchogue branch where I had no issues, I came to selden expecting the same quality of work. However that simply wasn’t the case. I purchased a new car in February which I added under my policy in my wife’s name who was also on the policy. As my wife was enjoying her new car, she was pulled over stating that there was no insurance and in turn the registration was suspended. The court threatened to revoke her license due to driving with no insurance and a suspended registration neither of which was her fault nor was she aware. At this point in time she’d only have the car for 2 months before the ticket. I contacted Russ who assured me that we were covered. I was told he’d get a coverage letter so everything

Working with this company is like throwing your money away. My monthly policy fee has increased from $400 to $750 and no reasonable explanation has been given to me. They say someone has been added to your insurance policy, but how can other people be added to my policy without my permission? and I paid an extra $50 for online payments last month. You can choose a reliable company instead of such a company. When we went to find out the problem, they pressured us to hurry up and pay. In short, it is a terrible company.

Wow this place went downhill fast! They accidentally suspended my license three times due to billing errors on their part in the past year. In addition if I want to pay my bill online there is now a $20 dollar fee for each payment. I'm paying $200 a year just to make bill payments. In the past customer service was excellent when I had issues. For some reason they now give me an attitude and I have been nothing but nice and patient for all their mistakes and crazy price increases. Unfortunately I will be leaving once my policy expires. It pains me to write this review because I really liked Jimmy (the owner) over the decades that I have done business with them. I am stunned in the change of service.
