I cannot recommend Angie enough as she has been INCREDIBLY helpful! As an organizer with Pikeville Pride, I recently found myself in a stressful situation when our previous agency left us hanging at the last minute on securing the required documents for our event insurance. With our deadline quickly approaching, I called Angie in near-panic mode and she immediately jumped in, took charge of the situation, and made it work. I am deeply unsatisfied with Nutmeg Insurance Agency. I had a boat policy with them. The premium jumped 50% in one year. So, when I shopped around I found a much better policy for less. I canceled. That is when I found out about "Minimum earned premium of $100.00". There was no explanation about what this meant. But, when I canceled the policy they charged me $100.00 to cancel the policy. Also, I had already mailed a check to them for renewing the policy. I sent the check on Jan. 17th. The policy renewal deadline was Jan. 31st a Saturday. They did not receive it until Feb. 2. So they charged an additional $25.00 late fee. When I asked about this they said it was legal. Maybe, but it is not right. Don't do business with this company.
