Horrifying experience. Horrifying. I have had home insurance on at least 20 properties in my life. I have never had an issue before as I have now. I don’t understand how there is not a class action suit against this company. I only had my insurance for 22 days as AAA came with a much better price For home insurance and I could also bundle my car. I canceled my insurance policy and they are keeping over 25% of my yearly premium for charges they do not refund you for. I was never told this ever. I have never had this experience before. This company seems like a scam to me. And all my paperwork says it’s KW specialty insurance but it’s not really the insurance carrier.

Horrible experience. They never answer phone calls, they do not reach back out after leaving a voicemail, they do not get back to you through email. I would 1000% recommend any other service besides this one. Do not waste your time with them, you will get no where and just be frustrated. Honestly this company just feels like a scam at this point. Please look elsewhere.

I live on the TX coast & my HomeOwner's Policy was abruptly cancelled for "failure to trim tree" notice which #1 I NEVER RECEIVED & #2 IS NOT encroaching on side or roof of barndominium. I paid premium early August of 2024 & rec'd cancellation notice early Oct 2024. Predictably, zero correspondence was attainable w/KW but I was able to obtain partial remittance of my premium w/help of my insurance agent. Using the standard proration formula (days remaining divided by calendar days X .08214 X premium) I was shorted $193.53. It was MOST obvious this outfit is pulling out of the market here on the coast as my agent told me I was not the only individual "cherry-picked" for random cancellation in the area. KW insurance canceled me due to living in a California fire zone it took me two years to get my refund check back. I haven’t calculated it yet, but I’m sure I was shorted and I did not get interest on my money. It was almost $4000 the check so that would’ve been a bit of interest after two years

We were paying 1700.00 a year for our home insurance with the previous home insurance company but we were canceled after never having filed a claim based solely on the fact that we are now designated as a fire zone. KW insurance charged us 4100.00 a year for the same coverage. After 6 months, we canceled because it was so expensive n had found a company who provided the same coverage or better for a lot less money. It has been a month and 10 days and we are still waiting for our refund since we paid coverage for an entire year . I called them several times and my broker called them as well.
