We have done business with Kim Jones Agency from the moment we purchased our home 20 years ago. Over this time, we had issues with the rate and have always been assisted in getting a quote that we felt was reasonable. In 20 YEARS, we have had 2 claims. 2. The last one several, several years ago---I'd say at least 6-7 years, for about $1k. No issues. This year we get a notice the insurance company is going out of business. So we call and request quotes. We were at about $1700 a year. Amber sent us quotes for $4k & $5k. I emailed why she sent us quotes that would not even be considered and was told (within minutes) those are their BEST RATES. I said you mean to tell me $4000 and $5000 rates are THE ONLY RATES YOU HAVE AVAILABLE? I was told yes. Zero effort put into this. ZERO. I told her I c

Dropped homeowners insurance after 9 years without a notice or phone call for absolutely no reason. Never made a claim and never was late with a payment. They did not try to reinstate but had the nerve to offer a a very high rate home owners insurance that covered 1/5 of my structures value. Is this how you want to be treated after 9 years of what we thought was a secure relationship? The last thing we were aware of was someone going in to look at the property in September. The property is in pristine condition. A report will be filed with the Florida Office of Insurance regulation in Tallahassee. DO NOT USE THEM.
