Halifax Mutual came to our rescue when no other home insurer would. They are a top-notch agency with genuine caring people who listen to you. My homeowners policy is at a good rate and good coverage. I’ve always been able to communicate with them either via email or phone. Dair, my underwriter, is an amazing woman who takes care of business. Seriously, stop shopping around and go with Halifax Mutual. They will provide you with professional, competent and caring service.

I wish I could leave no Stars. Your business is a total rip off. We have had insurance with yall since 2012. Last year we tried get you guys fix our roof storm damage and you wouldn't. Claimed it wasn't storm damage. So of course we had to come out of pocket and fix our own roof. Cool. Put a metal roof on this time and didn't make a big deal that you didn't do what we paid yall today. We just paid for it our own self. Many months later. Now we get a letter saying that the property was not good. Not good ?? How ? Oh guess you didn't think we fixed our own roof. Well we did. Smh I suggest anyone to run from this company. They are trash. We haven't filed one claim in all our years since 2012 until last year. And you denied it. If you need a good homeowners insurance this is NOT WHAT YOU WA

After being insured with Halifax Mutual for over 9 yrs they cancelled my policy siting that my home was in disrepair. I am a single mother dealing with everything alone and I thought this was my insurance company apparently they do not care about their customers they only care about their bottom line. They did come through when I had a claim but no one ever advised me that it would hurt the future of obtaining insurance with other companies . I was told during the last hurricane when I needed to file b/c of wind damage don't even think about it b/c I had the larger claim and now this . I am now aware that they don't want to write policies anymore for people that live on the coast so I guess that is ultimately why they cancelled me .This company has caused me emotional distress .I do not su
