Parents had an insurance policy with this company since 2007, in 2016 they send a letter and say they are dropping them from insurance due to "change of risk." They simply told me they would not cover the home due to it being vacant and getting ready to sell. They stated they did not cover vacant homes. Their website states they do cover vacant homes. Goes did not want to do the work it would take for a short term policy while the home sold. Very vague until questioned further about why exactly the policy was being cancelled. There were minor problems with the home (they have been fixed) that they claimed made it uninsurable. Chimney cap had fallen off during a storm, exposed wires after midamerican repaired them, and a tree branch that was hanging too low were the problems listed (they ha
