GAINSCO Auto Insurance

DO NOT GET THIS INSURANCE! The reviews here are all correct. This company is struggling financially and cannot afford to fix your car in accidents. I was involved in an accident were it was the other guys fault. This insurance blamed me on the second day and tried to make me surrender my downpayment car of $7000 left to pay off and surrender it to the towing and only give me $79 dollars????? The other persons insurance said that it was not my fault but the other drivers fault. Even after seeing this, they still said it was my fault. My funding bank had to call them personally and tell them the value was undervalued. They raised it to $1,4K I have full coverage and been with them for three years. NEVER AM I RETURNING TO THEM AGAIN I PAID OVER 5k IN THREE YEARS

My daughter was hit head on in May, 2025 by a person with Gainsco Insurance, which pushed her into another vehicle sitting in a turn lane. I am thankful she was not hurt seriously and walked away with some soreness, lots of bruising, and a busted mouth. The driver of the Gainsco insured vehicle, was apologetic, and accepted fault immediately to school faculty, my daughter, myself upon my arrival, the school resource officers, and the GA State Trooper who wrote up the accident report, as the accident occurred right in front of her high school. Also, the best evidence against the at fault driver came in the form of the dash cam video from my daughter's vehicle. To Whom It May Concern, This entire situation is outrageous and completely unacceptable. Your company issued a claim check, then deliberately put a stop payment on it without notice or explanation. Since then, I have wasted my time calling over and over, leaving messages with at least five different managers, and not one of you has had the professionalism to return a call or resolve this. This is gross negligence and reeks of bad faith. You are legally obligated to pay on this claim, and your delay tactics will not be tolerated. If I do not receive immediate confirmation and a reissued payment within 48 hours, I will escalate this to the State Insurance Commissioner, the Department of Financial Services, and my legal counsel. Will cancel your policy if someone takes your car. Was unfortunately involved in another "incident" where someone reported an accident on my car, no damage. Completely separate from the other. They cancelled it too. No investigation just constantly pointing to the first incident. Will get a lawyer if it continues to be "at fault" on my record
