I have been a customer of State Farm for as long as I can remember. Unfortunately they continue to raise my rate without explanation or reason like having an accident and or tickets. I have found auto insurance elsewhere for nearly half my current State Farm rate with the same or better coverage.

Poor communication and service. We purchased insurance through this State Farm for our fixer-upper home in the Catskills in April. Today we received a partial refund check in the mail with no explanation for the cancellation of our policy (or official termination date). I reached out to our agent Perry to understand why, and he stated it's due to the current state of the house and that they don't cover houses in that state. This was surprising since I had a long conversation with Perry when we bought the insurance about the state of the house and how we would be spending the next two years rehabbing a home that had been abandoned for 10 years (We were also specifically directed to this office by another state farm employee because of the type of home we were purchasing).
