Ryan was the agent I set my insurance up through. He gave me a cheap quote and I made the switch. Turns out, that he lied on my insurance policy and said that I was a homeowner despite that I clearly told him I was a renter. The only reason my quote was so cheap, was if I bundled homeowner insurance. Since I was not doing that, I lost the huge discount and was stuck scrambling with two weeks to come up with several hundred dollars. Ryan's response was that most companies don't actually check that so he thought it would be ok. His company paid to start my renters insurance but that didn't give me the discount.
