Disability Insurance Sacramento

I went to find status of my paid family leave payment which was approved (11/7) but no payment issued. Paperwork was needed, I uploaded 11/7 and no updates for more than a week and half. My claim started 10/22, today is 11/18! Calling at 8am and throughout the day (you can't get through), emailing (twice, no success). You cannot get through and if you do, share. What to expect in the office. You scan QR and get called to window. It tells you what place you are and is pretty quick. For PFL, they take your case number and phone number at the office and that's it! Someone calls you within 24 hours. I made it at 9:30, seen at 9:45 and told that I would get a call. Long lines and wait times. The one staff member actually working was pretty nice but there was a lot of useless workers in the back standing around and doing nothing.

As another user stated, if you live within an hour- make the trip. Google maps directed me to the correct building but incorrect entrance. The main entrance with the double sliding doors and no wait (but clean public restrooms) is the Job Center of America. If you're looking for the Disability office, go around the building, down the sidewalk to the side entrance. There's an official capacity of 25 but seating for 33. Don't be surprised if there are 50 people packed inside. I arrived about 08:10 on a Monday morning. There was a line out the door, but space inside. I've been trying to reach PFL by phone since June 25th. Ea Day - min of 6 calls a day - NEVER GET THRU. Apparently, I need to make the 1.5 hr trip to see them in person. God help ME (them) I'll update after my visit, till then - fix the website or the ph systems, this is what our outrageous CA taxes pay for??

On 6/9/25, I had to physically drive to the EDD location in Sacramento because it's impossible to reach anyone when you call. First, I'd like to share the correct address for those in and/or near the surrounding area. The location is 5009 Broadway, Sacramento, CA 95817. The entrance for EDD Disability at this location is facing Broadway. The entrance to EDD Unemployment is on the opposite side of the same building, nearest the largest part of the parking lot. It took a little bit of time and patience, and I did get my issue resolved. Through the EDD Disability steps of getting a ticket number for my place in line. Then, I filled out a simple questionnaire of what my issue was (e.g., Their system had a glitch, incorrectly, for my "return to work" date and had stopped my disability payments)
