Delta Dental

I was a loyal customer for many years, no claims for years except for normal cleanings, and they cancelled me without notice or legitimate explanation. I wrote a letter about this to the CEO Sarah C. and weeks later she has not yet dignified me with a response. Delta Dental should be ashamed.

Scam, $76 a month to cover one filling every 2 years. My fillings aren't even $200. If I could give 0 stars, I would. Put a small sum of money away in a savings account each month as a self-dental-insurance account and pull from it as needed. Never sign up for delta dental.

Never use Delta Dental. They should never be called insurance. Its more like a scam. My dad was quoted $700 for 5 fillings and thats with the "insurance". My dad has very limited income and he pays for the rent where he lives. This is the only insurance Kaiser offers to him so this is all he has. Delta dental should be shut down.

The benefits representatives at Delta Dental were incredibly helpful when I called. They explained a process called predetermination, where your dentist submits an authorization to check if the services will be covered and to get the actual price, not just a guess. This process has saved me so much money and hassle. I ve just received a letter from my dentist stating that I owe them almost $600 because DD has denied coverage due to “frequency”?? I had postponed any dental work for a year or more , paid $1k out of pocket and then I am also being denied coverage? Are you kidding me? I am coming into the office and want whoever is there to look me in the eyes and explain how getting basic dental work done once a year is “FREQUENT”?
