Delta Dental

January ’24 my wife opened a Delta Dental (DD) insurance policy to have her wisdom teeth removed. No other reason to have dental insurance as she has full dentures. She paid the first installment of $127.80 and an automatic payment plan was set up through our bank at the time. First autopay was to be the following month but it never occurred. Then in late January my wife became very ill with gastric issues, constantly throwing up, a dozen surgeries later she’s still suffering. She never used the (DD) insurance although she had contacted a dentist who asked for her membership number which she had never received… Earlier this year we were gathering receipts for taxes she came across the initial (DD) payment. Whats odd is she only had the one payment, no communication what so ever from

if you speak a different language, just be prepared to be told they cant help you. the insurance rep waited on hold with us for 8 mins and said we needed to call back at a later time because she couldnt communicate with the customer. do better

Pay over $ 1,000 per person for AARP PPO which ostensibly lets you see any dentist albeit with more limited benefits. Good luck submitting out of network claims. Fax? Nope. Upload in website? Nope. Only hard copy mail which somehow always seems to get lost or misplaced. But when it comes to collecting that monthly payment by jove, they are automated to the hilt. Cr--ks.

The most pointless insurance company. Complete ortho treatment last October and come to find out they only made 1 payment and are refusing to pay the remaining portion. Because they only do “1 payment per year”. Each person you talk to lacks knowledge same with supervisors and mangers. It almost seems like they enjoy making the process difficult. A very expensive mistake. Avoid using this insurance company if possible.

What a terrible experience trying to find out about a claim that you submitted back in January 20 25 and is now the end of April 2025. On top of that they went ahead and changed their phone number till you get some rinky-dink Insurance Medicare, and didn’t even have the courage enough to say that they were going to do that. Not good business practices still waiting to hear about the claim I have submitted information on the Internet.
