When I originally reached out to Celik to insure my car and home, this broker took the liberty of assigning my billing info to another customer of theirs, a total stranger to me. When I noticed this phantom charge on my statement starting to make drastic changes I wanted to call and question. I come to find out I was paying someone else's premium for over a year, a couple thousand dollars of my money got tied up. Instead of owning the mistake and fixing it, Erie deferred to my bank suggesting I close and reopen my checking account to avoid any future charges. I did exactly that, and promptly canceled my coverage with Erie. Soon after that I received two checks from Erie with the canceled policy numbers in the memo line. I figured that was the end, and they were settling up with me.

Given a decent quote and told they would take pictures to submit the quotes the following week. After not hearing anything back I followed up only to be told Erie does not accept new home policies with roofs 10 years or older despite clearly stating my roof was 11 years old during the quote process. Ghosted by the agent Susan and do not recommend them as they offered coming out to take pictures after I called them out on it.

Was insured through, at first, Bill Celik and then his daughter & staff for a long time. Never had any problems with either the products they offered or their service. Then strayed away for several years to direct-billing through another large, nationwide insurance agency and, although the rates were initially lower, there was never any real "personal" connection. After the second company's rates unexplainedly kept rising (to ultimately 50% more than my original rate) I decided I'd had enough and gave the Celik people a call to switch back. They put me back in with Erie - at a rate LOWER than that of the original rate with the second company I'd switched to. And on very recently purchasing a new vehicle, found that my slightly increased rate on the new vehicle was STILL LOWER than the

easily one of the best insurance companies to go with. beth is amazing & is great at communicating.
