Do I have to give one star? I appealed a claim for a visit to urgent care after I triple-checked the Sydney app and it told me that the address was in-network for my plan. The Urgent care itself checked my insurance card before admitting me. Then I get a bill for $500.00. I appeal with a screenshot of their own app saying the place was in-network. They deny my claim. Are these the “concepts of a plan” we keep hearing about? This company is a SCAM.

Insurance coverage was denied even though a provider was found through Anthem's website. 4 calls to anthem bcbg were dropped (aka we were hung up on) when trying to figure out why. Still not resolved after spending hours on this. All via overseas answering services too. This is only for $300, why would you risk using this provider for something even more important?

Why do we continuously allow all of these insurance companies to scam all of us constantly? They prey on people who need medications just to live a life so they can make more money off of them. Something needs to be done about the largest scam to ever exist. I dont understand how they get away with it and everyone continues to let them get away with it. How are you gonna up someone's premium by 80% for the new year and then tell them you wont pay for a medication they've been paying for for YEARS but they'll pay for the generic one now that they're making way more money off of everyone? Scam, scam, scam, its absolutely criminal.

Currently having my dentist office file an appeal on my behalf. Listened on a three way call as my dentist stood up for me and said they were told I was covered. All my paperwork says I'm covered and they got me on a technicality I never could've possibly predicted as a member. Went from owing $200 on my end just to find out I owe the entire $1100 after the procedures were finished. Bad people doing bad business!

I deal with many insurance companies for work and have never felt so ignored, disrespected, and manipulated in my professional life. I applied to be in network with them coming up on TWO YEARS AGO and they keep saying "we will escalate the contract" every time we call them, then weeks and weeks go by and nothing happens. Rinse and repeat. They also ALWAYS seem to have "problems confirming coverage" for clients wanting to actually use their insurance. I ended up going through a third party (Alma) to get in network with them and now they have come up with new ways to NEVER actually cover clients. I don't think they have approved a single person I have tried to work with. I am honestly surprised there aren't lawsuits towards this company for malpractice. DO NOT USE BCBS!
