This review is specifically for Jackie and Summer E with customer service at the Baton Rouge office. They literally went above and beyond to help me understand my policy and benefits, help me get my claims fixed to their ability, maintained a patient and compassionate attitude, communicated with every step with me. I haven't had this level of service from a company in a LONG time. For all the flack insurance companies get about premiums and denials these two ladies made insurance a less stressful experience. No one likes dealing with any insurances but Summer & Jackie really were my advocates through my claim dilemma that I've been dealing with for almost a month. Review for Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Louisiana “Louisiana Blue” Early this year it became apparent that something had happened to my spine. My doctor ordered an MRI which took a few months to get prior authorization from my insurance company Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Louisiana. The prior authorization was approved and the authorization went through the care line of Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Louisiana. I then had the MRI. Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Louisiana approved BOTH the MRI and the location for that MRI even though it normally would be out of network. I made sure the location and provider would be approved BEFORE scheduling the procedure by long discussions with various departments over the phone with Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Louisiana. Doctors have ordered a mri for me, their density in area they cant see through, multiple family had issues in the area and BCBS OF LOUISIANA thinks they are better than a doctor and saying that they need more proof that im denied a mri.

One the phone for one and a half hours before anyone from customer service even picked up the phone. All I wanted to do was inform them the insured was deceased. Imagine having a problem with a claim. I would never buy insurance from these people.

The worst insurance I've ever had. My family and I have been denied over 5 different types of medications over the course of 2 years. Currently looking at different options.
