Berkshire Hathaway Homestate Companies

This is the most dishonest insurance company I’ve ever seen. I asked them to cancel my policy, but they refused. I asked them to turn off auto-renew, but they didn’t. I also asked what my refund would be if I canceled my policy, and they never gave me a clear answer. It feels like a complete rip-off.

This is the worst company for Workmans Comp. I haven't received my weekly payments on time for months. I am actually receiving my payments bi weekly. In a month I receive 2 payments instead of 4. I reported the issue to the adjuster Matthew Rohr and my attorney with no resolution. I investigated the issue on my own and discovered that Birkshire Hathaway Home state Co. California is cutting checks and stamping the envelopes in their office (every week). They use a presorted stamp machine. However, the are not putting the checks/envelopes in the mail weekly, they are posting the envelopes biweekly. I asked for a direct deposit instead because the delays are causing financial distress. Again, no resolution since May. I'm now forced to file as many complaints as possible (publicly) to prompt

This company does not treat the customer as king or is right. This was a horrible experience dealing with this company. Worst in my life. I am a physician and businessman who has been in business for over 25 years with hundreds of employees. I have opened and closed hundreds of insurance policies. Your company is the only company that has cancelled a policy of mine, left my company without insurance because you had a wrong mailing address. There was no communication of this cancellation other than a letter delivered to a wrong address. Attempting to re-instate the policy took six to eight hours on the phone just to initiate the reinstatement. Then, the actual coverage took several days to take effect and this was another huge disappointment that led to business disruption and lost

Worst insurance company, do your self a favor don't purchase insurance from this shoddy company. What a rip off
