Auto-Owners Insurance Akron Claims

In January of this year (2025), we had a water line break in the living room of our home. I got a couple of estimates and based on the repair amount, I decided to file a claim with AO. Right out of the gate, my adjuster was rude and confrontational. His name was Mike. I see from previous reviews others have had a similar experience with this individual. Mike sent an independent 3rd party adjuster to come to our home and assess the damage. The sub was a respectful decent person who showed empathy for our situation. He wrote up a report and sent it to Mike. Mike slashed his assessment (from the convenience of his office chair far away) and offered a fraction of damages. WOW. At no point was I disrespectful or confrontational when discussing my claim with an agent called Mike. I was simply seeking clarification on why my claim was closed without my knowledge or consent. Instead of receiving assistance, I was met with an unprofessional attitude and, ultimately, the call was abruptly ended by the agent. This behavior is completely unacceptable, especially when dealing with a sensitive matter like an insurance claim. I expect to be treated with courtesy and respect, and I am incredibly disappointed by how this interaction was handled by auto owners and more precise, Mike

Mr. Steinbeck provided excellent claim service. His estimates and payments were reasonable and fair. But what impressed me the most was his promptness. He always responded within 24 hours, and frequently on the same day. He got my payments issued very quickly. I hope I don’t live through another hurricane, but I’m glad I had Mr. Steinbeck as my adjuster.

Site is glitchy or something. Submitted a blanket report on the 9th and even showed that it went through but then I get a message about it being late today. This isn't the first time I've had issue with the website like this.

I am a member of the Auto-Owners Insurance company, and recently needed to contact them as my vehicle had been hit in a parking lot, and the owner of that vehicle failed to identify themselves nor leave any contact information. I was contacted by Robert Astor, a representative of Auto-Owners Insurance. He discussed all the steps I needed to follow as well as who to contact for the repairs and rental vehicles. The repair took approximately two weeks, and when I picked my vehicle back up yesterday, it looked good as new. Robert stayed in contact with me during the entire process, and continued to remind me to contact him should I have any questions or concerns. I wish to thank Robert and Auto- Owners insurance for all their assistance and support in this matter.
