Arlene McHale - State Farm Insurance Agent

Update: Their response to my review, completely validates my review and the other 1 star reviews. Unacceptable. Extremely unprofessional, unresponsive, and unreliable experience. We left countless voicemails and emails over an extended period regarding a simple fence damage issue on one of our properties. After repeated follow-ups, we finally spoke directly with the owner, Arlene, who assured us she would personally take care of it and asked us to send over the quote. We did so immediately. After that — complete silence. No follow-up, no acknowledgment, no resolution. We continued calling and emailing and eventually spoke with two other individuals at the office who were extremely rude and told us they “don’t really handle that anymore,” despite the fact that this is the agency we sign

We have left 2 voice mails and logged into the State Farm app and completed the info requested. It asks if you want auto too and someone will call you. We clicked on the icon and sent off the message. Neither local State Farm offices (Hamlin or Lake Ariel) ever called us, emailed or returned our messages. So much for customer service and the fact she stated she returns all calls. You lost out on a home and auto bundle. Thank you AWL best rate with more coverage.

Not sure what has happened to this agency, but I am in complete agreement with other reviews about no one returning a phone call. I have been with Arlene for 30 years and have never had a claim. When I bought a house, I called them first to get a homeowners quote b/c I wanted to keep SF. Jack told me their computers were down and he'd call me back the next day. He didn't. I called several times and always got the recording. This was in July. Finally 2 weeks later, I left a message that I was calling about my quote. Nothing...no one called me back. I finally called the beginning of Sept to leave a message that I was cancelling my policy. I had looked up what to do if they didn't call me back and you can look up the main customer service number for State Farm. You don't have to go

I am writing this review because I want people to be careful if they are thinking of dealing with this office. My parents were with Arlene McHale insurance for many, many years. Had their auto and homeowners insurance there. I had to step in this past year on their behalf, as my parents were elderly, (and then my Father passed away in May). I am not someone who usually writes reviews, but want people to know - don’t expect this office to help you out when you have a claim. I can’t tell you how many times I called and stopped in, provided the paperwork they asked for to get the claim taken care of, they would say they’d take care of it, but never did. I have finally given up on my Mom ever getting her money. It isn’t even really about the money, it’s more about the way they just didn’t do t

By far the worst business i have ever dealt with. Called multiple times no response, even had to call statefarm to see if they can get in touch with them still no response. Cancelled my policy and am still waiting for my refund check. Highly recommend you do yourself a favor and stay far away from this business if you would even call them one
