APWU Health Plan

I was told my copay for a prescription was going to be $63 for a 3 month supply. When I went to pick it up I was told my copay was $500. We spent an hour on the phone with a representative while sitting in the pharmacy. They finally determined the $63 quote was for a 1 week supply. The rep had the prescription in front of her for a 3 month supply. Intentional deceit. We would never had chosen this company had we known how they operate. Every time we call we speak to someone different and get different information.

As described in another review listed above me, I would give this insurance company a negative star if Google would allow me to. My two year old daughter required general anesthesia per her licensed pediatric dentist to address her three fillings, gain X-rays, and perform dental cleanings. However, APWU first denied it saying it didn’t have all of its paperwork. No problem, I was happy to have medical records send all of the information to them. After that, they denied it again, saying it wasn’t part of the planned benefit. I called them up, they stated the code was very generic and they would need more details on the procedure, so an appeal would be appropriate. I sent the appeal at the end of May. Specifically applicable to On Line utilization of "UCard" Repeated attempts to access benefits on line totally unresponsive also 2 attempts via USPS ordering no response. Asked for catalog 4 times before was able receive one. Great idea short on delivery. Stop this and apply dollars to to reduction in premium.

Very unprofessional, rude and disrespectful, I ever talk to over the phone, they called asking about patients' information and doctors' information from our office, informed the caller i cannot release or talk to them due to HIPPA, and i need the patient to confirm your calling on their behalf, so i placed them on hold, to get the patient on the other line, they called nonstop over 15 time back to back in 1 min.

If I could give a negative star i would give them negative 5. My daughter takes a required medication to stay alive and they come up with the most ridiculous excuses as to why they can't properly cover it. Stay away from this insurance.
