Andy W. Ocasio: Allstate Insurance

Had insurance here for about 10 years. Finally left since Auto got ridiculous. I sold a truck back in 2017 and they took the insurance off the truck I didn't sell despite me telling them the exact VIN, policy number, and plate number. If i got into an accident it would have been on me and not them. Made 1 claim for broken glass in 2024 in all my years there but everytime my premiums renewed it went up outrageously (over 100+ every six months). I was done paying over 100 bucks a month for 20+ year old vehicles that I paid 6 months up front and without any collision. Then when I went to cancel they gave me the run around. First they gave me an email (since they only have 1 person who can cancel. What a joke train your employees) I got no response. Called again and was told the person would c

Worse to deal with than the issue itself. Incompetent agents/adjustors, who very clearly do not care and do not help. Nobody from this office will assist you when nothing is getting taken care of. Corporate will blame the local and the local will blame corporate. Left hand and right hand do not communicate here. Do not get this insurance if you ever need to make a claim. You’re going to be SOL with an office that is unable, or unwilling, to be of assistance.

My husband and I have insured our vehicles and homes with Allstate for more than 20 years. Their service is consistently good and rates seem fair.

Yikes. I would steer clear. There are many one-star reviews for Andy, and unfortunately they’re accurate. He does not return correspondence and is extremely difficult to work with.

Andy was the worst Allstate agent I have ever dealt with. He does NOT return phone calls, has no interest in helping his customers. My policy was not renewed because of an accident which ALLSTATE and NY State Police both assessed as not being my fault. When I called him to further discuss this he never called me back and had his staff call me after leaving 3 messages for HIM. This was after almost 40 years of being insured by Allstate! Andy was the third Allstate agent that I had. The first two were outstanding. The third…TERRIBLE! I am now insured by Progressive which is a breath of fresh air after. Allstate.
