AMCOL handled a 2019 bill for a MRI scan In had done by Vulcan Imaging Associates of Birmingham, AL. I want people to know who you are collecting money for and the scams they pull on people: VULCAN claims 40+ radiological doctors please see my several hours video on my 2019 MRI done by their radiologist Michael Brant Ruff at the below Yootoob channel (mymedicalnightmare). I had a broken skull injury I almost died from - 3 inch long insects & worms grew in the wound (SEE X-RAYS / MRI / CT IN VIDEOS). The MD wrote no injury appeared in an image review that showed 6 inches diameter infection in my head / neck area exactly the area to be examined, where I reported pain. Absolutely awful debt collection company that are used by Sacred Heart Hospital in Destin Florida. At no point during my admission to the hospital did they tell me how much the various tests were going to cost us, so I ended up with a bill for over $2,200 payable by me after insurance payments. Because I couldn’t pay they sent it to Amcol Debt Collection Agency who clearly don’t care about the customers, they just want their money. Amcol refused to negotiate with me and instead insisted I did a payment plan even though we had no income. They explained nothing about the payment plan and any consequences should I not be able to meet a payment, and I paid the first two payments on time. The last payment however became an issue because we had no means to pay it. So I called to ask them to nego

No one enjoys having debt collectors up your bum and I had approached them in a polite but obviously frustrated manner due to not understanding why my hospital bills were sent to them in the first place; however Crystal was very grounded and helpful. She was very patient and explained everything to me and helped me work out a solution that handled their end of business and also accommodated my financials. I by all means do not recommend any debt collector but would 100% recommend Crystal. I'm in Texas, not sure which location she works at but she was awesome.

Probably the first 5-star review for a collections agency. In this case, hospital billing erred multiple times telling me my account was current even though I was getting late notices on my account. Sent to collections even with payment plan active. Representative was super understanding and clearly explained my options. Ended up saving money with a settlement.

For a debt collector, they were super friendly and easy to work with. My situation was probably different than most. My bills should have never made it to them as the hospital was continuously taking money from me and applying how they wanted to, so how these bills made it through the cracks I have no idea. However, they set up the payment plans with ease and then allowed me to settle when I was ready.
