I would not recommend AIG to anyone. Extremely incompetent service!! Changing a beneficiary on a life insurance policy should be simple and straightforward, but with AIG it clearly is not. Multiple attempts to update the policy went ignored, with no resolution or explanation. A company entrusted with people’s financial security should not make basic administrative changes this difficult. Extremely frustrating experience.

AIG should be ashamed to underwrite Mexvisit as a company affiliate. The complete and utter disregard and lack of competence is pathetic. We have been trapped abroad now for over a month without assistance. Shame on you AIG.

DON'T BUY AIG INSURANCE through United Airlines!! I purchased a vacation flight to Tennessee two months before Hurricane Beryl devastated the area. In looking at the hurricane's projected path, I would be landing in Tennessee just 12 hours before they would start feeling the effects of the hurricane. With this information, I cancelled my flight because I did not want to be in the middle of a hurricane 12 hours after leaving the airport. I filed a claim with AIG and provided all of the details on why the flight was canceled to include a map of the hurricane's projected path. AIG declined the claim because "your trip was cancelled as a result of a change of mind." REALLY, the flight plans were cancelled, because I did not want to be in the middle of a hurricane. WHAT A WASTE OF MONE

The purpose of a travel insurance is to protect our travel plan and that we do not loose our money. This seems to me a scam as now I have lost significant amount of money and also paid for insurance. I will not recommend this service to anyone booking an airline ticket. The fine prints did not explain what was covered and was not covered until after the purchase was made. At which point, it was too late to cancel the air line.

I have had the worst experience with any Insurance company by far. I cancelled my policy 2 weeks ago & received 3 letters today but no refund. When I called. The number on the letters they were both the wrong numbers. After 2 hours & 10 phone numbers plus 3 hang ups by employees, I'm still unable to file a complaint. I even tried the shareholders line to see if I could get some answers but that extension only hung up the call. Worst customer service I have ever encountered in my life & I personally worked for an Insurance company myself. To my horror I read that this company had a CEO sent to prison . I see why. Terrible company to get involved with . If I owned stock I would Sell Sell. Sell.
